Whaleman's primary mission is to educate key decision makers, while raising public awareness, on the issues that affect ceteceans (dolphins, whales and porpoises) and their critical habitats through films, research, campaigns and media outreach."
Did you know that 20,000 dolphins, whales and porpoises are slaughtered every year? This is cruel, senseless and it HAS to be stopped. This is why I've chosen The Whaleman Foundation as my Cause. Currently, actress Hayden Panettiere, (Hereos) has a goal to get 1,000,000 signatures on the exclusive Whaleman Foundation petition. The goal is to stop all commercial whaling and lethal scientific research whaling by Japan, Norway, Iceland, and to enforce the current global whaling moratorium. This petition will be taken to the June 2009 meeting of The International Whaling Commission, where the petition will be personally delivered by Hayden.
